Time to declare your assets for 2019

It’s time to declare your assets, both within and outside Spain, as of December 31, 2019. If you are a tax resident in Spain, the asset declaration should be made during the period from May 1 to June 30, 2020, using form 714.

The declaration is made individually, which means that spouses have separate taxation and each spouse is taxed for their own share. It’s important to note that you have a tax-free allowance of 1 million euros, and only assets exceeding 1 million euros need to be declared.
