Information for everyone receiving a Swedish pension or salary

The parliament has decided that anyone receiving a pension or salary from Sweden, regardless of where in the world they live, will receive a monthly statement. The annual statement will be discontinued from this year, and the statements from January 2019 will be monthly.

It is important to keep track of all statements. It is not uncommon for a Swede living in Spain to have a pension from three different insurance companies. This results in 36 statements to keep track of for the tax return to be submitted in the spring of 2020. There will be a routine on the tax agency’s website where you can follow the different monthly statements and also obtain a summary.
